Hans Ackermann (1890-1967) Als Sohn des weit über die Stadtgrenze hinaus bekannten Sängervaters Hans Ackermann sen. brachte der junge Hans Ackermann ein besonderes musikalisches Erbe mit in die Welt, die Liebe zum Männergesang. Nachdem er u. a. bei Georg Häser, Hermann Wetzel, Carl Julius Schmidt und Karl Schnell eine gründliche Ausbildung hatte genießen dürfen, übernahm er die Leitung von Männerchören in Basel und Umgebung. Bei manchem Anlaß traten sie vereint unter dem Namen Ackermannsche Chöre auf und erfreuten sich als Träger musikalischer Kultur großer Beliebtheit. Mit Hans Ackermann sinkt einer der bedeutenden Repräsentanten des Volksgesangs in Basel ins Grab.
